In this session, Mami Yoshino from Foxwell State Secondary College will share her experiences of embedding Indigenous perspectives and approaches into Japanese language teaching. This will be followed by discussions and idea-sharing.
About Japanese Language Teacher Study Group
In our monthly online study group, teachers across QLD gather and forge strong bonds with each other while gaining valuable insights from real classroom experiences and cutting-edge language teaching approaches. Our monthly sessions also cover a wide variety of topics tailored to teachers' interests, presented through different formats, including presentations, discussions, lectures and more.
In 2026, our monthly sessions will focus on indigenising the curriculum. We aim to create a space to share practical examples and experiences of how Indigenous perspectives and approaches can be embedded in Japanese language teaching.
