Dr John Rego is a world-renowned pianist, conductor, music director and music examiner. He is a Juilliard Visiting Professor (Shanghai, Qingdao 2023-2027) and Consultant Professor to the Mantinea Institute (La Spezia). He has a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford, and both a Master and a PhD in Music from Princeton University. He will be presenting in English.
English-to-Mandarin simultaneous interpreting service will be provided by UQ MATI students.
About MATI Live Interpreting Forum
Master of Arts in Translation and Interpreting (MATI) Forums are an opportunity to observe our masters students in action. Guest speakers are invited to present on a range of topics in English, Chinese or Japanese, with our masters students providing consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. Forums are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. They will be presented face to face with an option to also join remotely via Zoom.
