Call for Abstracts

We invite Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from the UQ School of Languages and Cultures (SLC) and the broader UQ HASS community to submit abstracts showcasing their research, as well as their postgraduate experiences (e.g., industry placements).

The symposium offers a supportive and developmental space for HDR candidates at all stages of candidature to present work in progress, conceptual ideas, methodological plans, and/or completed studies. Workshops that may benefit the HDR community are also welcome.

SLC HDR candidates whose progress review is due in Research Quarter 3 (RQ3) 2026 are strongly encouraged to deliver a 30-minute individual presentation at the symposium.
