Save the Date: Australian Languages Workshop 2027 (ALW2027)
Venue
The University of Queensland and Charles Darwin University are joining forces to host the 2027 Australian Languages Workshop (ALW2027) on Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) at the UQ Moreton Bay Research Station, from 5–7 February 2027.
Held annually, the ALW brings together people committed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, including both traditional and new varieties, to collaborate with peers, share research and projects, and discuss the achievements and challenges shaping the field.
Call for presentations will open 21st September. Details on registrations & travel bursaries will be announced soon.
