Venue
The conference will be held in the Sir Llew Edwards Building (#14) at the University of Queensland’s St. Lucia campus. While on campus you may wish to visit the UQ Art Museum or stroll around the landscaped gardens and lakes on our 114-hectare site.

The UQ Maps app may also be useful for navigating on campus.
Getting to UQ
Click here to find information about public transport options to the University as well as links to campus maps and the Translink public transport planner (also available as an app).
For delegates staying in the city centre or South Bank, the no. 66 bus is the fastest option, running from Roma St Busway Station, King George Square Bus Station and the Cultural Centre to the UQ Lakes stop. The City Cat ferry which runs between Southbank, North Quay and the University is very pleasant but takes 40 minutes.
You can pay with a credit card or smart device on trains (including Airtrain), CityCats and ferries by tapping your card/device on the machines provided as you get on and off. One card or device per traveller. As at April 2024 buses still need to be paid with either a Go Card or pay per ticket, though this might change by the time of the conference. Please note that some routes are pre-paid only and will not accept paper tickets. Please check Translink carefully before venturing further afield. None of the routes to or from UQ are pre-paid services.
Travelling to UQ from the Airport
The Air Train runs between Brisbane Airport’s international and domestic terminals and stations in the city and South Brisbane, including Park Road Station, where you can catch buses to the University (UQ Lakes) from the adjacent Boggo Road bus stop. Click here to find more information about the Air Train.
