Call for Abstracts

We invite HDR candidates and ECRs from the SLC’s broader community to share their current research and their interdisciplinary experiences that address, but are not limited to, the following topics.

• Cultural studies
• (Applied) Linguistics
• Translation studies
• Postgraduate placements
• Postgraduate liaison work
• Post-Ph.D. trajectory journey

Presentation Formats:

• 5-minute lightning talks 
• 30-minute individual presentations (including 10-minute Q&A) 
• 45-minute panel discussions of 3-5 members

Please note that candidates whose progress review is scheduled in RQ1 2025 are strongly encouraged to present a paper at this symposium.

Abstract Guidelines

Please submit an abstract of 200-300 words and a bio note of 100 words via the form below.

The submission deadline is Friday, 15 November 2024.

The notification of acceptance is Friday, 13 December 2024.
