Librarian Felicity Berends will visit our school to speak about research metrics and other measures of research quality for Humanities research.

Felicity will speak about some of the key issues faced in Languages and Cultures around demonstrating ‘quality’.

She will cover issues involved with publishing in outlets that are not in English, in countries where English is not the primary language of academic discourse, and with book or book chapter publishing.

This is a great opportunity to find out how to present evidence of research quality for confirmation, promotion and grant applications.

The session will be aimed at all academics in the school and may also be useful for HDR students, especially those who are nearing completion and considering where and how to publish.

The session is in place of our regular school seminars, which will resume on April 22nd.
